Hefty price for to less service
Bad experience with the Kapok hotel. The first really negative experience after two weeks in the Caribbean staying in many hotels. Booked three nights via Booking.com. That amounted to US$614.74. A hefty price for a non-special hotel and single occupancy. Upon arrival the room turned out to be at the front. There is a busy highway there. With extremely poor window insulation, so a lot of traffic noise. When booking I had already indicated: A quiet room please. There had been no response to this, nor to my request to arrange a taxi from the airport. Upon arrival, I saw the room, noticed the noise and asked for a room at the backside. A good hotel will apologize and accommodate you. Afterwards, this hotel appears to have converted the booking into a very expensive upgrade at the rear with a balcony that I did not ask for and about which absolutely nothing was said. This only became clear to me when I had to book an extra night due to a delayed flight due to tropical storm Tammy. When I saw the price, I asked for a 'normal' room at the back. After half an hour of hassle at the counter, I was able to move my things. And what seems? By mistake another room at the front. Back to the counter. Waiting again for another room. Much smaller without a balcony. It took 2.5 hours in the end. Without any compensation. A good hotel will immediately offer you compensation for the downgrade and, for example, a meal for all the inconvenience. Nothing at all at Kapok. An extremely poor service and apparently with the aim of booking as much money as possible at the expense of foreign guests. A hotel that doesn't have much to offer anyway: a bar downstairs with three televisions and a lot of noise. A swimming pool where there is so much noise from air conditioning and other installations that it feels like you are on a factory site. The only really positive thing is the excellent restaurant on the 8th floor with very courteous staff.

Wonderful
the breakfast was fantastic very good taste and the presentation also one of the supervisors day was a little antipathic. But for the rest the another staff are very Amable.
